"Yes, But..." or Just Yes?
Jesus doesn’t need your conditions—He’s asking for your commitment.
Daily Devotional
Yes – But…!
There’s always a “but” when our trust is partial.
There’s always a condition attached when we’re still trying to live by common sense rather than Kingdom faith.
Jesus isn’t looking for cautious faith. He’s calling for complete surrender.
This is the same Jesus who says, “Follow Me,” and doesn’t hand you the full itinerary first.
There’s no risk management in the Kingdom.
There’s just obedience.
And on the other side of that obedience is rock-solid revelation that what He says is more real than what you see.
God doesn’t need your backup plan. He needs your belief.
Faith isn’t faith until you’re ready to leap—with no safety net but His Word.
Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters,
You know where most of us hesitate? It’s not in the hearing—it’s in the stepping.
We say, “Yes, Lord… but.”
“But what if it doesn’t work out?”
“But what if I’m wrong?”
“But what will people think?”
I’ve learned this:
Whenever you attach a “but” to your obedience, you’ve already given yourself permission to hold back.
You’ve placed your trust in your own reasoning instead of God's revelation.
I believe Jesus is calling someone reading this to take the leap.
To stop asking Him to confirm what He’s already made clear.
To stop negotiating when He’s called you to trust.
The kingdom doesn’t advance through the cautious. It advances through the committed.
So if God says “go,” you don’t need every light to turn green before you step.
You just need the Word—and your yes.
Still another said, ‘I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.

Today’s Prayer
Jesus,
I repent for the times I’ve hesitated when You’ve called.
Break my attachment to control.
Break my addiction to outcomes.
Let my answer be “yes” without condition—
Because You alone are trustworthy.
Amen.
