When God Corrects You, Don’t Shut Down

Correction is not rejection—it’s refinement.

Daily Devotional

Chastening

Sometimes the Holy Spirit doesn’t comfort.
He confronts.

He doesn’t coddle.
He convicts.

And if you mistake His correction for the enemy’s condemnation, you’ll quench the very Spirit that came to sanctify you.

Don’t flinch when the Lord rebukes you.
Don’t faint when He points out what you’ve been ignoring.
Don’t shut down when He shines the light on your blind spot.

That’s not the devil.
That’s discipline.
That’s love.

Kingdom Disciples: A Word from Pastor Kevin

Sons and daughters—
God’s correction doesn’t mean you’re disqualified.
It means you’re loved.

When the Spirit checks you, don’t despise it.
Don’t brush it off.
Don’t sulk or shut down.

Receive the discipline.
It means God is still working in you.

You prayed for sanctification—
Now let Him sanctify you His way, not yours..

Despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of Him.

Hebrews 12:5

Today’s Prayer

Father,
When You correct me, let me receive it as love.
When You convict me, give me the courage to respond.
Don’t let me flinch. Don’t let me faint.
Make me fully Yours—even if it hurts.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
