What Are You Haunted By?
When God is your constant companion, nothing else can take His place.

What Are You Haunted By?
We are all haunted by something. For some, it's fear. For others, it's failure.
Many of us are haunted by our past, our reputation, or even our own thoughts.
But the psalmist points us in another direction:
Be haunted by God.
Not in the way the world thinks of haunting—as something terrifying and cold.
But in the way a child is "mother-haunted"—so deeply secure in her presence that even when he’s not thinking about her, she’s still the foundation of his world.
When trouble comes, he instinctively runs to her.
That’s how we are called to live: with a soul that instinctively leans on God.
When you're haunted by God, anxiety can’t crowd in.
Worry can’t linger.
Your soul dwells at ease—because it’s at home in His presence.
Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters,
Let me ask you plainly—what’s been haunting you lately?
Is it the fear of what people think?
The voice of your past failures?
The creeping doubt that you're not enough?
Those are shadows.
But the presence of God is substance.
And when you let His presence become your abiding atmosphere, those shadows lose their power.
I’m not just talking about praying more or thinking more about God—
I’m talking about living from a place where you are so wrapped in Him that everything you face passes through the filter of His faithfulness.
To be haunted by God is to live protected.
It's to walk through the fire without smelling like smoke.
It’s to be misunderstood and still know you're loved.
It’s to be surrounded by chaos, yet carry a peace that makes no sense.
You were never meant to be tormented by fear or driven by the past.
You were meant to dwell in the shelter of the Most High—
and let His presence haunt you in the holiest way.
Who, then, are those who fear the Lord? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.

Today’s Prayer
Lord,
I repent for letting fear and anxiety take up residence in my soul.
I want to be haunted by You—
not my past, not my mistakes, not my circumstances.
Be my first thought, my hiding place,
and the presence I never leave.
In Jesus’ name, amen..
