Fear reveals what you really believe about God.

The Theology of Rest
Storms don’t shake Jesus.
But they often shake us.
Not because He isn’t in the boat—
But because we think He’s asleep.
Fear exposes where our faith still needs to grow.
And Jesus expects more from those who bear His name.
He’s not disappointed by your humanity.
But He is calling you higher.
There’s a kind of rest that doesn’t come from quiet waters,
but from confidence in a God who rules over them.
You’ve prayed before.
You’ve cried out before.
You’ve even panicked before.
But this time?
Let your peace preach louder than your panic.
Kingdom Disciples: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters—
Jesus isn’t looking for performers.
He’s looking for people who know Him well enough to rest.
Don’t wait for the sea to be calm before you trust.
Trust because He’s already in your boat.
Your rest is not weakness.
It’s revelation—that you know Who He is.
Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?

Today’s Prayer
Lord Jesus,
I don’t want to miss it again.
When the storm comes, help me stay steady.
When it looks like You’re asleep, remind me that You never leave.
Let my rest reveal my faith.
And may You find joy in my trust.
Amen.
