The Strength to Stay Silent

True power isn’t proving you’re right—it’s revealing Christ.

The Account with Persecution

Being a disciple isn’t about keeping score.
It’s about giving Jesus the final word—even when we’re the ones being wounded.

When you’re insulted, misunderstood, or falsely accused, your flesh wants to fight back.
But the Spirit? He wants to reveal Jesus.

The second mile isn’t a duty.
The turned cheek isn’t weakness.
They’re evidence that Christ lives in you—and you’ve given up your right to retaliate.

You don’t need to protect your reputation. You carry His.

Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin

Sons and daughters—
Let the world see Jesus not because you proved your point,
But because you laid down your pride.

When someone comes for your character, don't flinch.
When you're wronged, misunderstood, or dishonored—take it as a holy assignment.
Don’t defend your name. Demonstrate His nature.

That's the disciple’s call.

If someone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other also.

Matthew 5:39 (NIV)

Today’s Prayer

Jesus,
Teach me the strength of quiet surrender.
You didn’t retaliate when You were mocked—
You loved louder by staying silent.
Give me that grace.
Help me care more about Your honor than my pride.
Amen.
