The Brave Comradeship of God
He didn’t choose you for your strength—He chose you for your surrender.
Daily Devotional
The Brave Comradeship of God
The bravery of God isn’t just seen in His power—
It’s seen in who He chooses to walk with Him.
He called the twelve—flawed, impulsive, unqualified men—
Not because of what they had to offer,
But because of what He planned to put in them.
And He calls you the same way.
You may feel too broken, too insecure, or too unequipped.
But that’s the point.
He chooses the poor in spirit—not the self-sufficient.
The truth is—God doesn’t need your talent.
He needs your trust.
This journey to Jerusalem isn’t about your potential—
It’s about your proximity to Him.
Your comradeship.
Because Christianity isn’t first about doing something for God.
It’s about walking closely with God.
Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters,
God trusts you more than you trust yourself.
You’re not chosen because you’re strong.
You’re chosen because you’ve surrendered.
He doesn’t just want servants—He wants friends.
So guard that friendship.
Let nothing interrupt it.
If the relationship is off—pause everything.
Get back to the center.
Because your spiritual power comes from being with Him—not just working for Him.
Then He took unto Him the twelve...

Today’s Prayer
Father,
Thank You for trusting me enough to walk with You.
Forgive me when I confuse Your calling with my cause.
I surrender my strength, my plan, and my pride.
Keep me close—fully Yours.
Let my life flow from this friendship.
Amen.

Where have I been trying to prove myself to God instead of walking closely with Him?
