Power to Do What You Know

God doesn’t just command it—He empowers it

Daily Devotional

Work Out What God Works In

You may feel powerless at times. You may even feel like your will is broken.
But the truth is, if Christ lives in you, then so does the will to obey.

That tug in your spirit, that conviction in your conscience, that whisper saying,
"Do what’s right, even if it’s hard”
That’s God working in you.

Obedience doesn’t begin with your effort.
It begins with your agreement with what God already placed inside you.
You’re not building something from scratch.
You’re working out what the Spirit has already worked in.

Obstinacy, pride, excuses—those are the barriers that need blowing up.
And the explosive charge?
Obedience.

You’re not being asked to manufacture power.
You’re being invited to activate what’s already been deposited.

Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin

Sons and daughters,
Let me tell you something the enemy hopes you’ll forget:
Your will is not weak—your will is aligned with God.

That frustration you feel about not following through,
that inner tension when you say “I know better”—
That’s not failure.
That’s evidence that the Holy Spirit is alive and active inside you.

You’re not fighting to gain God’s will.
You’re fighting to release it—to walk in what’s already yours.

So today, shake off the guilt. Shake off the “I can’t.”
Take a breath. Obey the Spirit.
And as you move, you’ll see: this life of obedience is as natural as breathing
when you truly believe that God Himself is empowering your every step.

Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.

Philippians 2:12–13 (NIV)

Today’s Prayer

Father,
Thank You for working Your will in me.
Even when I feel stuck or resistant, remind me that Your Spirit is still active.
Help me obey quickly, without delay or excuse.
Let obedience become natural, because Your power is working through me.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
