After Obedience — What?

We often think:
“If I obey, it’ll lead to success.”
“If I follow Jesus, He’ll reward me with the results I imagined.”
But that’s not how God works.

Obedience isn’t the road to the goal.
Obedience is the goal.

The disciples obeyed and ended up in a storm.
No crowds.
No miracles.
No “progress.”
Only wind, waves… and Jesus, walking on the sea.

Sons and daughters,
God’s not trying to get you to a destination.
He’s trying to get you to dependence.

That storm you’re in?
It’s not blocking your purpose—it is your purpose.
Because obedience that keeps calm in chaos is more glorifying to God
than the biggest platform or breakthrough.

Stop thinking your obedience is supposed to lead to a “next.”
What if obedience is the miracle?
What if peace right now is the victory?

Today’s Prayer

Lord,
You didn’t promise a smooth path—You promised Your presence.
Teach me to see You in the storm.
Let me value the process more than the prize.
Obedience is the offering.
Amen.
