I Indeed... But He
The power of your life begins where your strength ends.
Daily Devotional
“I INDEED… BUT HE”
There comes a moment in every disciple’s journey
when we must lay down the last piece of self-sufficiency
and say with trembling honesty:
“I indeed… but He.”
That’s the moment the fire falls.
Until you reach the end of what you can do,
you will never experience the fullness of what He can do.
The baptism of the Holy Ghost is not a spiritual thrill;
it is the invasion of God Himself.
And He doesn’t come where He is not wanted.
He doesn’t dwell in pride, in pretending, or in polished performance.
He waits for the place where repentance cracks the vessel—
and His power can pour through.
Kingdom Disciples: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters,
If you still feel the need to defend yourself,
you haven’t reached the edge of yourself yet.
If you want the fire of God,
you have to bring your nothingness.
Not just your sin—your goodness, too.
Lay it all down and say:
“Jesus, You take it from here.”
There is no “both/and” here.
There is only I indeed… but He.
“I indeed baptize you with water… but He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.

Today’s Prayer
Jesus,
I come to the edge of myself today.
I let go of both my shame and my pride.
Baptize me with Your fire.
Do what only You can do.
Let my life be a testimony of Your Spirit, not my strength.
Amen.
