God Has a Secret Just for You

Intimacy with God isn’t just about your prayers—it’s about learning His joys.

The Secret of the Lord

God doesn’t just share His burdens with His friends.
He shares His joys.

It’s one thing for someone to tell you their sorrows.
But when someone shares their secret joys, their quiet delights, their heart—that’s intimacy.

And this is what God invites you into.

Many of us are quick to pour out our hearts to God—our needs, our fears, our struggles.
But how often do we listen long enough for Him to speak?
Not to command.
Not to correct.
But to confide.

When was the last time you asked God, “What’s on Your heart today?”
Not just, “God, help me,” but, “God, what brings You joy?”

The fear of the Lord isn’t terror—it’s tenderness.
It’s reverent closeness.
And when we live in that kind of holy friendship with Him, we begin to pick up on His heartbeat without needing constant instruction.

As we mature, we stop constantly asking for direction—because we trust that He is forming our desires, guiding our ordinary steps, and that He’ll nudge us if we wander.

Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin

Sons and daughters,
There’s a shift that happens when you stop talking at God and start walking with Him.

When you first come to Christ, your prayers are often full of requests—“Lord, help me… show me… rescue me…”
But as you grow in intimacy with Him, your posture shifts.
You stop just asking and start listening.

And if you stay still long enough, God will share His secrets.
Not just about your future—
But about His heart.

There are joys God wants to reveal.
There’s beauty He wants you to notice.
There are moments when He simply wants to whisper, “Come closer… I want to show you something only a friend would understand.”

Live close enough to Jesus that even your ordinary choices are led by peace.
And if you feel a pause in your spirit, listen.
That’s the Lord protecting your steps—even when you didn’t ask.

The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.

Today’s Prayer

Lord,
I want to be more than someone who talks to You—I want to be someone You trust.
Teach me to listen.
To wait in the quiet.
To love what You love and move when You say move.
I want to be so close that even the slightest whisper from You sets my direction.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
