Don’t Overthink It—Just Step Out
Faith doesn’t wait for clarity. It walks when Jesus says, “Come.”
Daily Devotional
Don’t Think Now, Take the Road
Sometimes the greatest threat to your faith is overthinking.
Peter didn’t drown because the wind got stronger—he sank because he stopped looking at Jesus.
The wind was real.
The waves were high.
But when Peter only saw Jesus, he walked on what should’ve swallowed him.
Faith begins with recognition—not with understanding.
You’ll never know how the water holds.
You just step because He said, “Come.”
Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters,
Some of you are stuck because you’re waiting for more information.
You’re weighing the odds. You’re calculating the risk.
But Jesus is still saying: “Come.”
Faith is not logical—it’s relational.
When the Lord speaks, don’t debate—move.
Delay opens the door to doubt. And doubt sinks what faith could’ve walked on.
The safest place in a storm is not the boat.
It’s the presence of Jesus—even if that means walking on water, or standing in something that should’ve taken you under.
Don’t ask Him to explain the waves.
Recognize His voice. Recklessly obey.
You’ll recognize Him more in your risk than you ever will in your reasoning.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind… he was afraid.

Today’s Prayer
Lord Jesus,
I confess—I’ve let the waves speak louder than Your voice.
I’ve delayed where You’ve asked me to walk.
But today, I choose to recognize You in the storm.
I will not wait for the waves to calm—I’ll walk at Your word.
Make me bold. Make me reckless.
Let my faith rise above my fear.
Amen.
