Come Close. Stay Strong.
The rest Jesus offers doesn’t put you to sleep—it wakes you up to real life.

Getting There
There’s only one question that really matters today: Have you come to Jesus?
Not have you gone to church.
Not have you tried harder.
Not have you prayed the right way or behaved better.
Jesus didn’t say, “Do this, and stop doing that.” He said, “Come to Me.”
He is the invitation. He is the place.
And if you want your life to line up with your deepest desires—if you’re desperate to be free from the weight of sin, sorrow, or stagnation—you won’t get there by trying harder.
You’ll get there by coming.
Coming means letting go.
Coming means surrender.
Coming means recognizing that nothing else will do—not your effort, not your intellect, not your traditions.
Just Jesus.
Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters,
There’s a rest available to you today—but it’s not what you think.
Jesus doesn’t say, “Come to Me, and I’ll tuck you in.”
He says, “Come to Me, and I’ll wake you up.”
You’ve been walking through life half-dead, dragging your burdens like chains. But Jesus isn’t calling you to collapse in His arms—He’s calling you to rise in His strength.
This rest isn’t about escape. It’s about empowerment.
It’s the restoration of your vitality—your will, your joy, your power. It’s not passive. It’s active. It’s energizing. It’s purpose-full.
So stop resisting the call.
Don’t spiritualize your exhaustion.
Don’t settle for weak excuses wrapped in Christian language.
If you're tired, come.
If you're ready, come.
If you’re stubborn, come anyway. Because Jesus said it—and that’s enough.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Today’s Prayer
Jesus,
You are the invitation I’ve been avoiding.
I come—tired, restless, and sometimes unwilling—but I come.
Wake me up from spiritual fatigue.
Shake me loose from empty habits.
Fill me with real rest—rest that empowers me to rise, to walk, to live again.
I let go of everything else. I come to You.
Amen.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
Am I truly coming to Jesus today—or just circling around the idea of Him?
Have I mistaken rest for passivity instead of divine vitality?
What do I need to let go of to respond to Jesus’ invitation right now?
