Building for Eternity: His Plan, Not Ours
Jesus already counted the cost. Now He calls you to build with Him.

Daily Devotional
Building for Eternity
When Jesus calls you to build, He’s not asking you to figure out if you're strong enough.
He already counted the cost—and He paid it in full.
Today's devotional reminds us: the price for discipleship was calculated at Calvary. It was settled in Nazareth. It was secured through the agony of Gethsemane.
The cost was so high that only Jesus Himself could pay it.
We aren't called to work for God on our terms, building our own dreams with a sprinkle of Christian language. We are called to be fully surrendered to His building project—to be stones in His tower, His eternal Kingdom.
He’s not looking for people who work for Him out of ambition or obligation.
He’s looking for sons and daughters who love Him passionately, personally, and beyond all other ties.
This is the glorious and costly call of discipleship.
Kingdom Discipleship: A Word from Pastor Kevin
Sons and daughters, hear me: You are not building for yourself—you are being built by Him for eternity.
Jesus isn’t asking you to figure out how much it’s going to cost you to follow Him.
He already paid the cost. The real question is: Will you let Him build with your life?
The days we live in are full of "Christian" enterprises—ministries, businesses, movements—all waving banners saying they are for God. But when the fire of God tests them, only what was truly birthed and built by the Spirit will remain.
Everything else will burn.
This is why the Kingdom lifestyle demands full surrender.
You don’t get to decide where you’re placed.
You don’t get to build your own little ministry empire.
You don’t get to tell the Architect how to use the stone.
You are the stone.
He is the Builder.
He sets you where He wants you—in His timing, in His plan, for His glory.
So I ask you today:
Will you let go of your own building plans?
Will you be a living stone in the eternal work of God?
Jesus isn't looking for contractors.
He's looking for disciples who will trust Him with their whole lives.
Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

Today’s Prayer
Lord, thank You that You counted the cost and paid it all. I surrender my life to Your building plan. Use me where You want, shape me how You want, and let my life be part of something eternal. Amen.
